Organist / Choirmaster

Michael Olbash serves as the Organist & Choirmaster of St. Adelaide's Parish, directing our Parish Choir, Choristers, Polyphony Choir, and Gregorian Chant scholae, at both Ordinary and Extraordinary Form Masses.  In addition to his duties at St. Adelaide's, he directs the upper school chorus at the Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Still River, MA, and serves on the board of directors of the American Federation Pueri Cantores.  He is the founding director of the Ave Maria Chant Camp in Ave Maria, Florida, and the founder of the Boston Chapter of Choristers Guild, for which he served as president for eight years.  An active member of the American Guild of Organists, he holds the Choirmaster and Colleague (CAGO) certificates from the American Guild of Organists, has lectured at both regional and national conventions, and is the recipient of both the Choirmaster Prize and the S. Lewis Elmer Award.  He holds an undergraduate degree in music from Harvard University and the Master of Music degree in sacred music and liturgy from St. Joseph’s College of Indiana.
