Holy Communion

"Take this, all of you, and eat of it: for this is my body which will be given up for you."

At every Mass, the bread and wine are substantially changed into the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The mass makes the sacrifice of Calvary present.

Only Baptized Catholics who believe that they are currently in a state of grace are invited to receive communion. Catholics are encouraged to go to the sacrament of Confession regularly to clean their soul in preparation for receiving communion.

First Holy Communion is offered at the parish. Children in second grade normally receive first communion. Please contact the religious education team for details on receiving first communion.
